On May 23rd, the Armenian British Business Chamber (ABBC), in collaboration with the British Embassy in Yerevan, co-organized an open finance reception at the Armenia Marriott Hotel Yerevan. This event gathered key representatives from the Central Bank of Armenia, commercial banks, FinTech companies, and other stakeholders in Armenia’s financial sector. It followed the ‘Open Finance Conference’ organized by Open Banking Excellence and the Central Bank of Armenia, emphasizing the need for collaboration in the financial industry.
During the reception, several notable figures delivered welcome remarks. ABBC Executive Director Ms. Irina Chobanyan opened the proceedings. Next, Mr. Paul Morris, the Deputy Head of Mission and HM Consul at the British Embassy Yerevan, spoke. Ms Helen Child, the Founder & CEO of Open Banking Excellence, also addressed the audience, along with Mr Hovhannes Khachatryan, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank. Their insights set a positive tone and highlighted the spirit of cooperation.
