On 27 September 2024, the Armenia-British Business Chamber (ABBC) hosted its signature event, the Business Talks Educational Forum, in collaboration with British Council Armenia at the Ramada Hotel Yerevan. The event aimed to bridge the gap between education and business, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing and insightful discussions on educational development in Armenia.
Opening Remarks by Key Figures
The event began with an address by Paul Morris, Deputy Head of Mission and HM Consul of the British Embassy Yerevan. Highlighting the importance of international partnerships in advancing educational standards, his opening remarks set a collaborative tone for the forum. Following this, Addeh Hovassapian, Country Director of British Council Armenia, provided an introduction to the British Council’s efforts in the country, emphasizing the organization’s mission to enhance educational opportunities and cultural exchange.

- Azat Soultanov, Director of CIS Armenia (Cambridge) International School, shared his vision for integrating international educational standards in Armenian schools, aiming to create globally competitive learning environments.
- Anna Ghukasyan, Yerevan Representative Office Director of CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, discussed the importance of higher education collaborations and the opportunities for Armenian students to access international programs locally.
- Ishkhan Margaryan, Deputy Head of DataArt Armenia, provided insights into the role of technology in education, exploring how tech companies like DataArt are contributing to digital transformation within Armenian classrooms.
- Vazgen Melikyan, Director of the Synopsys Armenia CJSC Educational Department, highlighted the company’s long-standing commitment to technical education in Armenia, focusing on partnerships with universities and the development of specialized curricula for engineering students.
