ABBC Annual General Assembly 2024

On 21 March 2024, the Armenian British Business Chamber (ABBC) held its Annual General Assembly in Yerevan. This annual event brought together representatives from member companies to review the Chamber’s accomplishments over the past year, discuss future initiatives, and strengthen professional connections. The assembly provided a platform for reflecting on the previous year’s successes and setting the stage for new goals and collaborative efforts in 2024.

What is the ABBC Annual General Assembly?

The ABBC Annual General Assembly is a key event in the Chamber’s calendar, designed to engage members and stakeholders in discussions about the Chamber’s performance and strategic direction. During this event, members receive an update on the Chamber’s activities, achievements, and future plans. It also serves as an opportunity to elect new Board members and acknowledge the contributions of those who have supported the Chamber throughout the year. The assembly is integral to maintaining transparency and fostering a sense of community among ABBC members.

Key Decisions and Acknowledgements

A significant moment of the ABBC Annual General Assembly was the election of a new Board member. Lilit Shmavonyan from EFES Insurance was re-elected to the ABBC Board of Directors for the 2023-2025 term. Her continued service reflects the value she brings to the Board and her ongoing commitment to the Chamber’s mission.

The assembly also highlighted the Chamber’s appreciation for the support received from various partners. ABBC extended heartfelt thanks to the British Embassy in Yerevan, especially to the HM Ambassador to Armenia, Mr John Gallagher, for his steadfast support and engagement. The Chamber also recognised its event partners—Pernod Ricard Armenia, Coca-Cola HBC, and Օ₂ Cafe & Bar—for their contributions, which were instrumental in the success of the event.

As the assembly concluded, the ABBC reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing business relations between Armenia and the UK and looked forward to another year of growth and collaboration. The event marked a successful end to a productive year and set a positive tone for the Chamber’s activities in 2024.
